I went to Attman’s Deli on East Lombard Street in Baltimore today. It was a very unique experience. The deli captures the essence of old-school Lower East Side Jewish delis, serving some seriously good classics. The corn beef sandwich was the real winner— tender and savory with delicious homemade mustard on classic rye bread. The hallmark of a truly great deli is one that also pays attention to the sides— the pickles at Attman’s were sour and crunchy, the Knish was homemade (Not quite Katz’s, but good) and the onion rings were fresh and crispy. Do yourself a favor and go here.
